I think the piling on of events is worst for the people who play the game to collect every dragon. Since that is not one of my personal goals, after adjusting to the constant onslaught of events, I am now enjoying how busy the game is.
I pick and choose which events to do by the prizes offered or the effort required to get the particular prize I want. Many of the new dragons have been unattractive to me, so the choices have been easy to make.
What I definitely do not like are the money/gold requirements added to every event (except StW) and the other changes made to the events, themselves. World Events used to be my favorite, but now they are lackluster. No community dragon is a huge negative and it defeats the whole point of the event- working together to win an awesome prize for everyone. Deco does not merit the title 'awesome,' imo.
Surprisingly, Leaderboards are my new favorite- for the milestones. I don't spend money and just chug along at my own pace.
The food and other requirements for DTs have gradually been increasing (starting way back when they changed the levels for the difficulty tiers), so I've resigned myself to the fact I will never get the last dragon again. If the final dragon is one I would die for, then I'll go all out- but it would have to be one hell of a dragon. Since I have no use or desire for random level 14 DT dragons, and would much rather use all that food on my Champs and favorite dragons, I see little use in doing these events anymore.
I do enjoy Bingo because I like having little tasks to complete. I have the same attitude as Julie about the tickets- I'll get them when and if I get them, and it will likely take many, many months to collect enough for a dragon. Not stressing about it, at all, and I am definitely not goimg to spend any money on it. I refresh every task that does not fit into my game or is not what I need. This week I am sitting out so I can get demoted back to Silver. The boost prizes are more more plentiful in Silver and fit my needs better.
I am trying my best to make the game work for me, my personal goals, and my playing style. I think that's all any of us can do.
