You don't need to tell the Peacock Dragon that it's adorable. It knows. But it likes to hear it all the same. It struts around your island with its marvelous purple coat and round golden eyes, gazing reproachfully at other dragons who puff out their chests as the Peacock Dragon passes.
Have you ever had a Peacock Dragon roll its eyes at you? It's a dreadful experience. I told my Peacock Dragon once that I thought its tail looked exceptionally ornate that day; it scoffed and rolled its eyes, then strutted off. I died a little inside.
Adult Form
Epic Form
As Peacock Dragons mature into adulthood, their beaks extend, allowing them a wider array of olfactory senses. As their ability to smell improves, it also increases their desire to smell good. Peacock Dragons like to roll around in flowers on their Island to better their personal perfume.
Other dragons would dare not try to upstage an Epic Peacock Dragon, as they are incredibly charismatic (and incredibly vain) creatures. If an Epic Peacock Dragon feels it is being outshadowed, it will ferociously flap its feathers in a harried plea for attention. Of course, the Epic Dragon is so magnificent, this ploy usually works.
By breeding a dragon that provides the Purple type with a dragon that provides the Yellow type. Missing requirements cannot be fulfilled by the splitting of minor types; parents must have the originally required types without splitting.
By breeding two purePurple type dragons together (Magic and Peacock). A similar effect can be achieved when breeding two pure dragons with the same minor type together if the Purple type is a component of that minor type. (True for Black, Cosmic, and Royal.)
By breeding two parents that collectively contribute only the Purple and Diamond types. The Purple type can also be acquired from any minor type for which it is a component. (True for Black, Cosmic, and Royal.) Minor types that have been split from other minor types can also contribute their component types to the type pool.
DISCLAIMER: When attempting to breed the Peacock Dragon, you may get other offspring instead. Check the Breeding Calculator to view all of the possible results of combining a particular pair of parents.
Special Breeding Rules
Although the Purple type is made up of Red and Blue, the presence of these types may not necessarily allow you to breed the Peacock Dragon. Check the Availability section above to find out the unique conditions under which this dragon might be bred.
Notes
The Peacock Dragon is the second breedable pure dragon with type requirements that conflict with other pures of its type. Unlike the Magic Dragon, it requires purple and yellow instead of red and blue.
The Peacock Dragon's design is based upon the Gold Dragon's, although there are differences between the two.
