Mythic Dragon Information

Baby Form Juvenile Form
Mythic Baby Mythic Juvenile
Like the minotaur beast of human legend, the Mythic Dragon can go from delighted to enraged in a moment's notice. Mythic Dragons aren't angry dragons in general, but they do get agitated by the color red. If you're going to care for a Mythic Dragon, it's good to 'rage-proof' your habitat by keeping it away from anything red. Be sure to put your Fire Dragon habitats on the other side of the island, and make sure there are no open flames nearby.
Adult Form Epic Form
Mythic Adult Mythic Epic
It is possible to train a Mythic Dragon to get used to the color red. Start by regularly feeding Fireapples to your Mythic Dragon. After a while, the Mythic Dragon will associate the color red with happy emotions instead of angry ones. Epic Mythic Dragons are in control of their emotions, and rarely have episodes, but this is a process that occurs naturally. It is best not to force this behavior on Epic Mythic Dragons, as they are still stubborn creatures. One Caretaker attempted to chain a Mythic Dragon and expose the dragon to various red objects. The Epic Mythic Dragon broke free from its iron chains and flew off, never seen by its Caretaker again.

The Mythic Dragon is obtainable:

  • By purchase at the market for 600.

Notes

  • The Mythic Dragon is currently the 4th non-diamond-type single color dragon that can be bred without using basic dragons. Ex: Breeding a Wild Dragon with an Genie Dragon can result in a Mythic Dragon because the correct colors are present.
  • The Mythic Dragon is the newest pure type dragon, and it was released on March 28, 2013 along with 1 Mythic hybrid.
  • Any combo where the Red + Yellow colors are present can produce a pure Mythic color dragon, currently the only eligible dragon is the Mythic Dragon. However, Mythic is always treated as its own color, with some special breeding rules. See below.
  • When evolving from Adult Form to Epic Form, the Mythic Dragon gains a metal collar and a broken chain around it's neck.

Special Breeding Rules

  • Mythic can split into Red and Yellow. However, if it is split, then Mythic is no longer in the pool for the duration. This means a few things:
    • Any combination with Mythic in it can produce a pure Mythic dragon such as the Mythic Dragon due to the presence of Red and Yellow.
    • A combination that relies solely on the Mythic color split to introduce the presence of Red and Yellow cannot produce a Mythic hybrid that also needs the Red or Yellow colors.
  • Although the Mythic color can split into Red and Yellow for breeding purposes, it still only counts as one color. This is important when considering the number of colors for pure Diamond color dragons such as the Diamond or Infinity dragons. Breeding a Mythic Dragon with a Island Dragon only counts as three colors: Mythic, Green, and Blue.
