Dawntree Dragons are not only dragons born from eggs, but also spiritual saplings of the Dawntree on your Island! They are very close to their mother root. Treat an incubating Dawntree Dragon egg as an extension of your Dawntree: keep it nestled in the shade of its branches, and nestle it on a bed made of Dawntree leaves.
As the Dawntree Dragons grow, leaves begin to sprout from their branches. The leaves reach out toward the morning sun, soaking up its rays. While Dawntree Dragons do get some of their nutrients this way, they need to be fed fruit like any other dragon.

Don't worry about leaving Dawntree Dragons out in the rain; they never get moldy! Their bark - I mean, skin - is also fairly tough, so it can withstand the force of termites and woodpeckers.
Epic Dawntree Dragons are, in essence, flying Dawntrees. Just by flying to another Dragon Island, it can create a New Dawn, and allow white dragons to be bred there. Charitable Dragon Caretakers are known to take their Epic Dawntree Dragons on tour, where their benefits can be shared with everyone.
By breeding a dragon that provides the Green type with a dragon that provides the White type. Missing requirements cannot be fulfilled by the splitting of minor types; parents must have the originally required types without splitting.
By breeding two parents that collectively contribute only the Green and Diamond types. The Green type can also be acquired from any minor type for which it is a component. (True for Fairytale, Stone, Dino, and Gemstone.) Minor types that have been split from other minor types can also contribute their component types to the type pool.
DISCLAIMER: When attempting to breed the Dawntree Dragon, you may get other offspring instead. Check the Breeding Calculator to view all of the possible results of combining a particular pair of parents.
Notes[]
The Dawntree Dragon's design is based upon the Coral Dragon's, although there are differences between the two.
A Dawn Tree is a gameplay element in Dragon Story that is said to have held the last remaining Light Dragon egg; waiting to return it to the world.
