From a distance Aurora Dragons are easy to spot, but hard to recognize. Their bright, multicolored hides appear to glimmer with reflected light, making them very noticeable when they fly. However, Aurora Dragons are very slender, very speedy, and have sleek, wingless form; this makes them appear to ripple across the sky rather than fly through it.
Aurora Dragons are social creatures, though they generally prefer the company of other Aurora Dragons. They take flight in closely knit packs, creating a cascade of color across the sky. When flying in arcs, they can actually make rainbows appear, leading many would-be treasure hunters to search for gold and find only disappiontment.
Before settling in the Dragon Isles, Aurora Dragons were indigenous to the Arctic region. In those days, fishermen in the region would see flocks of Auroras flying across the night sky, and would confuse them with the weather phenomena for which Aurora Dragons are named.
Epic Aurora Dragons are rarely seen during bright summer days - or at least, not for long. During these days, the light reflected off their hides is so vivacious, it can cause temporary blindness in the dragon keepers that care for them. However, few dragon keepers complain after this occurs; some have stated that temporary blindness is a small price to pay for such a splendid sight, no matter how brief.
By breeding two dragons that collectively contribute Green, Purple and Blue to the type pool. If a parent has the appropriate minor types, missing requirements may also be added to the pool, even if neither parent has the originally required types. Minor types that have been split from other minor types can also contribute their component types to the type pool.
DISCLAIMER: When attempting to breed the Aurora Dragon, you may get other offspring instead. Check the Breeding Calculator to view all of the possible results of combining a particular pair of parents.
The Aurora Dragon was the first three type hybrid in Dragon Story.
The Aurora Dragon's design is based upon the Mist Dragon's, although there are differences between the two.
